About Eda
Eda Yu is a Chinese and Indonesian writer and content designer born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley. Her writing has appeared in VICE, Teen Vogue, New York Magazine, and the New Yorker, among others.
Eda led the viral Protect Our Elders campaign at the height of anti-Asian violence in 2021, raising over $150K for organizations dedicated to Asian wellness and safety. She was named a Kearny Street Workshop featured artist in their 2017 APAture festival and has been featured for her work on platforms like NPR, AJ+, and the New York Times. She has lectured for ASPIRE, Art Center, and UC Berkeley.
She currently resides in Los Angeles, where she lives with her partner and two dogs. Follow her Substack.
